The passenger can cancel their Jet Blue flight without any cancellation charges provided that the cancellation is made within 24 hours of booking the flight. Flights can also be cancelled anytime 7 or more days before the departure but cancellation charges may or may not apply depending on the passenger’s fare type.
Jetblue Airways Cancellation Policy
- All types of fares(Blue basic, Blue, Blue Plus, Blue Extra and Mint) booked before 31 May 2021 can be cancelled before the scheduled departure without any cancellation fee. However, all fares booked on or after 6th June 2021 can still be cancelled without any fee except for Blue Basic fare that demands a cancellation fee of 100$ for U.S, Caribbean, Mexico and Central America routes and 200$ for other routes.
- All Refundable and Non-refundable fare types can be cancelled before the scheduled departure but per person cancellation fee will be applicable on Non-refundable fares. Cancellations can be done online and offline at the passenger’s convenience. If the booking was made via a travel agent, then the cancellation and refund process must be executed by the travel agent only.
Jet Blue airways Refund Policy
- The eligibility of refund is based on the passenger’s ticket type. Passengers are entitled to get a full refund for the cancellation of refundable fares before scheduled departure. But for non-refundable fares, no refund will be provided rather the value of the fare will be transferred to Travel Bank credits which can be utilized for future bookings.
- Passengers who have cancelled the changed or rebooked flight are not entitled to get a refund upon cancellation and will be charged a cancellation fee for the same irrespective of the 24 hours time frame.
- In case of a missed flight, the reservation amount will be credited to Travel Bank credit for future use. The Refund amount for a partially unused reservation is equivalent to a one-way fare for the portion of the cancelled trip.
Steps to Cancel Jet blue Airways Flight Ticket
- Navigate to Jet Blue airway's official website or download its mobile application.
- Proceed to the Manage Trip section and enter the confirmation code and passenger's last name.
- Then view your booking details and select the flight you want to cancel
- Click on the cancel flight link, read the cancellation terms and confirm your cancellation by paying the cancellation fee (if any).
- Then check for the confirmation on your registered email ID or phone number.
- Now you can either rebook your flight or ask for a refund in the manage trip section by entering your cancellation details.
